Founder Robert Ana Torres spent twenty years running dispatch and customs desks for two of the largest freight brokers on the East Coast before deciding, in 2014, that small and mid-size shippers deserved a better experience. He rented a modest office at 130 Risdon St in Mount Holly, brought in two long-time drivers and started with a single 53-foot dry van running the I-95 corridor.
Today BAEI Cargo operates a network of vetted carrier partners across all 48 contiguous states, holds NVOCC and FMC licences for international ocean moves, and maintains long-standing relationships with air freight consolidators out of Newark (EWR), JFK, Philadelphia (PHL) and Chicago (ORD).
